Cherries |
These are small, round, dark red stone fruit which grows on
trees in small clusters. Early varieties are Bins, Lambert
and Van. Late varieties are Lapins and Sweethearts.
Cherries are available late June to July.

Apricots |
Apricots are stone fruit that is
light yellow to strong orange in color. this fruit
is generally round in shape and ranges in different sizes.
The flesh is soft and juicy. Apricots are eaten fresh,
canned, frozen, dried or used in jams. Available in July. |

Nectarine |
Similar to a peach but with a
thin, smooth skin and firm flesh. Great for eating raw.
The skin is characterized by a medium to full red blush on
golden yellow background. Available from August.

Peaches |
This is a round juicy fruit with
downy, yellowish red skin and a rough stone. There are
many varieties of clingstone and freestone peaches which are
grown in the Similkameen. Great for
eating raw as well as baking, cooking and canning. Available in
August.

Plums |
This is a round fruit with a hard
stone. It is sweet and juicy. Colors and sizes depend on
variety. Great for raw eating. Available from July -
August.

Prunes |
Italian prune plums are a medium
size fruit with dark skin and semi-sweet flesh. Great for
eating raw and very nice when dried. Available August -
September

Asian Pears |
Asian pears are crisp in texture,
super juicy and sweet. Depending on variety, the skin on
an Asian pear can be smooth and shiny or russeted with colors
ranging from green to yellow to brown. |
